In appreciation for your Talent, Joshua, as well as Chris Botti and Josh Groban and others...I've been to all the concerts in the Winston Salem (Wake Forest University) NC and Raleigh concerts at the RBC Center for Chris and Josh's performance. Our household have most or all yours and Chris and Josh's recordings.
... all the works you do for "the movies"...(The Red Violin, etc, etc, etc)
You're a joy to our lives!

I just wanted to say I have a radio show--public affairs, a little music, community events, and I aired the new Four Seasons CD Thursday night. It was lovely, and the packaging was very impressive. It's going to be the opening theme for the show from now on. Listen Thursday nights at 7pm on WQNA-FM Springfield, you can link to it on the Web.
Hi
I am 65 years of age and am winding down from being a builder in England for 50 years.
For years, my hobbies have been playing Chromatic Harmonica, writing songs, lyrics
and poetry.
I'm very well established now, having built myself a recording studio and having made
" Building Dreams", a harmonica album which features some of the greatest Jazz musicians
in England...all friends,,,some no longer with us.
My two small poetry booklets have generated great interest , especially in America.
I love the arts and will persue them seriously now.
All the best,
Barry.
Was nice to listen to his music, never had any other chance to view his live stage appaerance, later, any time. Though, his Short Trip Home, with Edgar Meyer and Yo-yo ma, is in my collection, at home. Necil
I studied violin for 10 years. My talent was microscopic, but my love of great violin music became huge. I have loved listening to Kriesler, Heifetz, Milstein, Oistrakh, Stern, and Perlman, but Joshua Bell, I think, tops them all primarily in the warmth and deep musicality of his performances of not only technically difficult numbers, but also of moving but relatively easy-to-play music like Kriesler's Liebesleid. Bell's bowing and fingering seems to bring out nuances and tonalities that make virtually everything that I hear him play soar to unexpected heights.
What a fantastic performance. I have to confess that before this evening I had not heard of Joshua Bell. That will no longer be a problem, as we purchased Josh's "Songs of the Violin" CD during the intermission after his performance. Josh's command of the instrument, his musicianship, his interpretation, were worthy of the 15-minute standing ovation and four curtain calls he and Maestro Robert Spano received for their performance of the Barber Concerto. From the first sonorous note out of his violin to the last we were entranced.
Joshua:
I met you at Davies Symphony Hall at suggested that you consider playing some Faure. You indicated that he is one of your favorite composers and said I should email you at your website.
Here are a few pieces you might want to consider returning to Davies in SF to play:
Sonate pour violin no. 1 op 13 (in A major)
Sonate pur violin no. 2 op 108 (in E minor)
I think both of these pieces would allow for orchestration. Perhaps you might add this project to your other ones.
It was such an amazing experience to have met Joshua Bell last week at Bloomingdale's. He was there for an autograph signing. I'll never forget his gracious smile. When he greeted me with " Hello ", I reached across the table to shake his hand and replied, " Mr. Bell, it's a pleasure to meet you!" As he was signing my CD of Vivaldi Four Seasons, I nervously blurred out, " Mr. Bell, I bought your album last month.
Lee Ritenour and Dave Grusin have teamed up again to create a beautiful album, Amparo.
The album is in stores now and contains songs featuring Joshua Bell, Chris Botti, Renee Fleming and James Taylor.

My husband is a fan of Joshua Bell and he purchased tickets to the September 9, 2008 10th Anniversary David Lockington Gala/Grand Rapids Symphony with Joshua Bell. When Joshua Bell started playing, I listened as the notes hung in the air, and I found myself mesmerized. After the concert, it was the second time ever I had seen my husband stand in line to get an autograph (next to Gino Vannelli). Wow! I thank God for giving you such a talent and that you choose to share it. Thank you.
You look nice in your brown pin-stripe. It's good to see you in some other color than blue, black, blue and black or white. Good choice.
I have been a fan of Joshua Bell's for a decade and have attended each and every performance he's given at the Ordway in St. Paul and the Schubert Club. I played the violin in South Bend Indiana and was first violin in South Bend's Youth Symphony(IU-South Bend) but,in the biggest tradegy of my life, my parents moved me away from my violin teacher/orchestra to a Minnesota suburb where no one was available to teach violin. Eventually I stopped practicing but love classical music. Last Friday, I drove after work(I'm a biologist/environmentalist) from St.
Does any one know if a video of Josh's New Year's Eve performance will be available?
Joshua Bell is as usual enthralling in a wonderfully beautiful concert programme to celebrate and welcome 2008. Saint-Saens, Tchaikovsky, Ravel are among my favorite composers.
Happy New Year - Bonne Annee heureuse.

So, over the summer, in a fit of madness and sudden influx of cash, I bought 2 subscription series at Carnegie Hall. For reference, I sit in the second tier boxes to the right of the stage (forward section). The Orchestra of St Luke's (why is there an apostrophe?
Hello. I am sorry, too, but I do not speak Portuguese, either. Still I am always happy to have new friends. Perhaps you know someone who can translate this for you. I do not think it matters much that we don't speak the same language as long as we both appreciate the language of music. Joshua is a superb musician and a very intelligent man. I am seeing him in person next month, and I can't wait. He's so exciting. Nice to meet you. My best wishes, Anita Woehlk
