Joshua’s Violin Featured Full Size in Unique Book Collection

Joshua’s 1713 Huberman violin is featured in a recently published four volume book set covering 148 Stradivari instruments. What’s unusual about this collection is that the instruments are depicted in exceptional life-size photographs – when folded out, some cellos reach a length of 96 cm. The Stradivari books are edited by violin dealer and publisher Jost Thoene and photographer Jan Roehrmann. The books contain the fascinating history of every featured instrument.

It took several years for these four volumes, which depict Stradivaris worth roughly 600 million Euro, to take shape. Many of the instruments took long journeys for their photo shoot and most are actively used by soloists today. Click here to see the beauty of these books.
