In April 2012 Joshua Bell embarks on his first major project with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields as its new Music Director. Joshua is the first American and first person to hold the title of Music Director since Sir Neville Marriner formed the orchestra in 1958. The series begins in London at Cadogan Hall on April 5 followed by a fifteen-date American tour from April 11 – 29.
