I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...
Dear Joshua,
When I grew up in Japan, I choose to take piano and guiter lessons. I never liked violin music.
when I was 30, I rented "Red Violin" on VHS, saw it on a 13" TV. The violin kept singing in my heart...I was a poor immigrant working for Macy*s in LA area, living in a tiny studio apartment in Pasadena CA...no way of practicing "violin"..that'd have been a great nuisance to my neighbours...
Three years ago, I was lucky enough to find a better paid joband they moved me up to Seattle area.
I found your name on "my" " Ladies in Lavendors" CD, and started listining more of "your" recordings, and they always make me "feel" your music and heart.
Last year, I got to move in my condo with great sound protection on walls, and got my first violin from Sharmusic.com. Since the day I got my violin I practice it every day and it has been the greatest joy of my life:) I feel so strange, be cause I have never been in love with a "thing" so much in my whole life!
My violin still sucks, but I manage go through Kasper Vice's practice song with 55 now. And working on the Red Violin theme edited by Joshua Bell,
I will never stop playing violin, Thank you for giving this to me.
This is why I am your fan.
P.S, Please come back to Benaroya Hall someday, hopefully soon....
Sincerely,
Euka
